Toxic drywall made in China injures Florida homeowners

Florida Department of Health alerts-homes sick from China made toxic dry wall.

West Palm Beach, FL (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The Florida Department of Health has already received over 39 complaints form homeowners throughout the state of Florida in Manatee, Sarasota, Pinellas, St. Lucie, Collier and Lee counties stating the drywall, in their homes, is causing serious damages and injuries. Many of the homes were manufactured by builders like Lennar and Taylor Morrison who used drywall manufactured in China. According to the Lakewood Ranch Herald, the drywall made in China, is producing foul smells, corroding mechanical appliances and home fixtures plus causing health problems with respiratory symptoms.

Many home customers have experienced problems with their air conditioners. According to Lennar executives, repair men discovered the source of the problem was the dry wall. The China manufactured dry wall emits a sulfur compound causing the AC coils and copper to corrode and fail. Homeowners have reported tarnishing of clothing hardware like belt buckles. Jewelry, mirrors, picture frames, and light fixtures have also reportedly been tarnishing. Computers have required repair and several families have reported sudden onset of chronic “colds” in their kids lasting for months at a time.

Lennar has recently provided temporary housing for homeowners suffering from the toxic sulfur emitting dry wall. Construction consultants are urging homeowners to not allow the builders to repair the homes before the air quality and damages can be adequately evaluated. These suggestions were a result of Lennar refusing to allow residents access to the results of the air quality tests done by ENVIRON International. The home builder has told residents the sulfur compound, found in the contaminated homes, is far below the most stringent government health and safety standards.

Apparently homeowners in other states including, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas and California have also reported problems with their drywall. Lennar is a nationwide new home builder in the United States.
