Chicago Law Firm Cooney & Conway - Celebrates 50 Years of Law
Chicago, IL (JusticeNewsFlash.com) — The Chicago Law Firm Cooney & Conway is celebrating its fiftieth year in the practice of law by endowing a professorship at the Loyola University School of Law and hosting a festive reception for clients and other members of the bar at Milennium Park in Chicago. One of the oldest personal injury firms in Chicago, the firm was founded by the late Robert J. Cooney Sr. on September 12, 1958 to represent severely injured tort victims and their families. The firm continues its mission today under the leadership of partners Robert J. Cooney Jr.; John D. Cooney; Kevin J. Conway and William R. Fahey.
From its start as a two-lawyer firm in 1958, the firm has grown to eighteen attorneys and more than fifty support staff occupying two floors of offices at 120 North LaSalle. The firm exclusively represents people injured by the negligence of others; including asbestos and toxic chemicals; product liability; transportation injuries and medical malpractice.
“Cooney & Conway has been fighting for working families for half a century, and we intend to continue doing so for at least another” said partner Kevin Conway. “Representing the injured victims of corporate negligence or intentional misconduct is more important now than ever before” he added. The firm will conclude its anniversary celebration with a nod to the common good by making a donation in each of its employees names to their charity of choice.
